BEDFORD, IOWA — It’s not too late to sign up to play in The 3rd Annual Great ARS Shootout golf benefit to be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Clarinda Country Club. Doing so, helps support local firefighters.
Each entrant chooses which fire department gets to receive his or her entry fees. Whereas someone from Bedford might earmark their entry fees for the Bedford volunteer fire service, those who live in Clarinda, IA, Corning, IA, Maryville, MO, or Shenandoah, IA, could designate that their respective hometown firefighters be the recipients.
“Our goal this year is to raise $4,000,” says Rob Villars, ARS President. “But to achieve that goal, we need dozens and dozens of folks to come out and play golf.”
Entry fees are $200 per foursome, which includes 2 carts. Individual fees are $30 per person. Carts cost an extra $40 each. Registration forms are available at arsiowa.com, or by calling Ryan Miller, ARS marketing manager, at (712) 254-1243.
Hole-in-one prizes include a Kindle Fire tablet computer, a set of Cleveland CG16 BlackPearl Irons, a $500 VISA® Gift Card and, as last year, a shot to win $10,000. Other pin prizes will be also be awarded. Hamburgers and hot dogs are included with entry fees.
The Clarinda Country Club is located at 1400 North 16th Street, Clarinda, Iowa.
